The 1st Forum on International Students from Africa in Beijing
I am very grateful to my University (Tongji University) and teachers of China Africa Research Institute for providing such amazing opportunity to participate in The 1st Forum on International Students from Africa" in Beijing. It was a great chance to connect with 49 international African students from 36 different countries as well as African ambassadors and Diplomatic Corps in China from South Sudan (Monday Kumba), Nigeria (Israel Kapoor), Cameroon (Martin Mpana), executive President of the China-Africa Institute (Li Xinfeng), vice presidente of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Gao Xiang), vice president of Xi'an Foreign Studies University (Wang Qilong), honorary researcher Fellow of the China-Africa Institute (Wen Xian), former Chinese ambassador to Kenya (Guo Chongli), vice presidente of Shaanxi Normal University (Ren Xiaowei).
The main point of this event was to discuss the friendship between China and Africa. During the event we emphasized the importance of this cooperation for both sides and how we can increase this cooperation contributing to the development of the China-Africa relationship and the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. The questions like, what's the key point of increasing African students in China? How Chinese understand Africa and how African understand China? What are their responsibilities? What do their countries, parents and families expected from them? How can African students present the university back home to attract Chinese people to study there as well? What are the difficulties African students face in China, in terms of language and culture? How important is China-Africa cooperation, what have done and what can be done? How important is for African students not only to focus on studies but also to learn Chinese culture and to connect with Chinese people, because we are not only ambassadors of our country in China, but also Chinese ambassadors in our countries.
The importance for African students being in China is that they can contribute using their knowledge to develop their countries. Understanding and learning how China has grown up gradually is also important for African students to know and to implement in their countries. Recommendations for the students are to make sure that we study hard, to follow Chinese regulations, to respect people, to show the best of our culture in the best way and how good our country is to people and never to forget that, the way how we act shows what we are and somehow our culture as well.
It was a really productive journey. China and Africa faced and still face the same challenges, so both sides have to work together for better life of people and humanity.

我非常感谢我的大学（同济大学）和中国非洲研究所的老师们为参加在北京举行的"首届非洲留学生论坛"提供了如此绝佳的机会。这是一次与来自36个国家的49名非洲留学生以及来自南苏丹（星期一昆巴）、尼日利亚（以色列卡普尔）、喀麦隆（马丁·姆帕纳）、中非研究所执行院长（李新峰）、中国社会科学院副院长（高翔）、西安外国语大学副校长（王其龙）的非洲驻华大使和外交使团进行交流的大好机会。 中非研究所名誉研究员（文仙）、前中国驻肯尼亚大使郭崇立、陕西师范大学副校长任晓伟。
这次活动的要点是探讨中非友谊。在活动中，我们强调了这种合作对双方的重要性，以及如何加强这种合作，为中非关系的发展和人类命运共同体建设做出贡献。这些问题，增加非洲学生在中国的关键点是什么？中国人如何理解非洲，非洲人如何理解中国？他们的责任是什么？他们的国家、父母和家庭对他们有什么期望？非洲学生怎么能把所学带回家，吸引中国人到中国学习呢？非洲学生在中国在语言和文化方面面临哪些困难？中非合作有多重要，做了些什么，可以做些什么？非洲学生不仅要集中精力学习，还要学习中国文化，与中国人民建立联系，因为我们不仅是我们国家的驻华大使，也是非洲国家的驻中国大使。非洲学生在中国的重要性在于，他们可以利用自己的知识为国家发展做出贡献。了解和学习中国是如何逐步成长起来的，对于非洲学生了解和建设他们国家也很重要。
给学生的建议是确保我们努力学习，遵守中国法规，尊重人民，以最好的方式展示我们最好的文化，以及我们的国家对人民有多好，永远不要忘记这一点: 留学生代表着自己的国家，我们的行为都代表着我们国家和我们的文化。
这是一次非常富有成效的旅程。中非两国面临和仍然面临同样的挑战，因此双方必须共同努力，改善人民和人类的生活。
